Not the best or worst. I enjoyed it in a campy, b-tier sort of way.

Most authors have a bad one with their series so I've gotten used to it. This was ok but a lot of it was more filler than story as if he was forcing it out but didn't want to write or lost his muse and had to get it out for a deadline or something.

I have adored the Sword of Truth series from the beginning. But wth was SotF. Maybe it was because I just didn't give a frak about Anderith, and during its chapters I truly felt like I was reading another book; because when the chapters were around our main characters I liked it, but my overall feeling towards the book was just a resounding...MEH! I'm so happy with what ended up happening to Anderith, because what a frickin irritating land....and the people!

By this point the series begins to take a downward turn, themes tend to repeat themselves over and over again, with no resolution in sight. Often I found myself wondering if I had already read this book, only to realize that it was just the previous book in the series.

This is where I stopped reading the Sword of Truth.

Not a huge fan of this book. It takes place in a land that is immune to magic and a people that constantly have me hitting my head against the book. Their philosophy to life is angering. The only reason I kept reading is that I loved the first few books.

Note to self: This is the one with the evil chicken.
