Bradley’s style is refreshingly vivid and creative, but as the series progresses, the author consistently resorts to cheap, indulgent glimpses into the R-rated exploits of her female characters in a way that detracts from the richness of the Authurian lore explored from the unique perspectives of its previously silent women. If you’re into reading about medieval female angst, go for it, but my reading left me feeling far less attached to the powerful women who have long deserved more time in the spotlight, especially Morgaine and Gwenhyfar, who receive the most page-time in The High Queen. I don’t think I’ll be picking up the third installment.

Se no primeiro livro, tive algumas dificuldades pela introdução lenta, neste segundo fiquei completamente rendida.
Gostei muito da evolução de Morgana. Uma personagem com uma grande personalidade e força de vontade. Enquanto no primeiro, Morgana era uma menina e era um peão no jogo da Deusa, neste segundo é senhora de si. E estou super curiosa com o que ela nos reserva no terceiro.
Artur é um personagem que ainda não me conquistou totalmente, mas nota-se que tem alguma da garra da irmã. Quanto à sua esposa, dêem-me paciência que isto não foi fácil, que chata

I'm really liking this series. But I REALLY dislike Guinevere. Why did I ever romanticize her as a kid? In this portrayal, she comes across as an intolerant, slut-shaming hypocrite. Love the continuing commentary on religion.
