i love jessica's work so far I have almost read all of her books but this book was missing a lot. i wanted to see everything that was going in court and when luke goes to see his mother or violet getting finaly her peace in the final verdict. so yes it was missing too much. but still loved it and loved the end of the story

This is the end that I've wanted for Luke and Violet, they deserved some kind of happiness.
I wish during the story we got more of some side characters, like the scene with Violet and Grayson. It was such a sweet moment and showed how much she had grown.
The ending with the detective call was a bit abrupt, could've been a bit more fleshed out since it was a big part of the storyline.

To say this was anticlimactic would be an understatement. I was expecting this great dramatic ending and all I got was a phone call with "we've got him."
I am very disappointed with the lack of Violet and Luke's relationship. The other two books did a much better job of making their relationship real and believable. I felt very disconnected to the characters. In short I disappointed with the the entire book.

Loved these two more than Callie and Kayden, even though I'm a fan of all the characters Jessica comes up with. Glad to see the wonderful conclusion. Strange and wonderful.

Violet Hayes's life is a mess. Between her stalker, Preston, refusing to leave her alone, her parents' case still being unsolved, and falling behind in school, she always feels on the verge of losing it. When some unexpected news comes her way, it's the final straw and she ends up doing something that almost costs her life. Thankfully, she survives and makes a promise to heal herself, to put her life back together and to try and figure out exactly how she feels about Luke Price, the one person that's always there for her.

But as a recovering alcoholic and gambler, Luke has his own struggles to overcome. He's also fallen in love with Violet, but fears telling her the truth, that it will scare her away or worse, she won't reciprocate the feeling. Plus, there never seems to be a right time to say it, either the care, Preston, or life getting in the way.

Can the two of them ever get enough peace in their lives to conquer their fears and finally tell each other the truth about how they feel?

3.5 Stars!!
Ok, so this was a pretty good way to wrap up Violet and Luke's story.

I will say that while it wasn't anywhere near as bad as in The Probability of Violet and Luke, there were still some grammatical and spelling issues that appeared throughout the story and managed to annoy me, which kind of pulled me out of the story and took away some of my enjoyment.

Anyway, this one picks up comparatively quickly after the end of the last one, with Violet and Luke both back in Laramie and trying to get caught up on things after having been gone suddenly. It was interesting to see as both of them (characters who both really took their schoolwork seriously although their personalities would suggest otherwise) struggled to get things back under control, not just with their schoolwork but within their own lives as well.

I liked seeing that Luke has given up the drinking (although aside from wanting to be there for Violet, he also had health reasons, but that's a different point) and is doing what he can to let Violet know that he's there even if she won't actually admit to seeing it. And that he was working on trying to patch things up with his dad. I do wish there could have been a little bit more regarding that point, but at least it was started.

Violet did frustrate me just a bit. Yes, she has a need for an adrenaline rush anytime things get to be too much. And really, for her, things got to be too much a lot. But at the same time, with everything, it was kind of understandable. However, the fact that she kept getting frustrated with Luke's attitude of protecting her annoyed me. She kept doing stupid shit, and especially as they were learning more about Preston and what he was doing, along with his reasons for doing so, she really needed to knock it off. Of course, she ends up going just a little too far and then she starts to see reason, so I started to become a little less annoyed with her. It was interesting to watch her struggle to understand her feelings as she tried to convince herself that she wasn't in love because she didn't even know what love is.

I also really liked Seth and Greyson's involvement. Those two helped both Luke and Violet a lot and it was nice to get a little peek into who they are too. I also really liked how Greyson helped Violet take a step towards understanding what she was feeling for Luke. I do wish there'd been a little more Callie and Kayden, especially so that Violet and Callie could work on a whole friendship thing since the two of them would probably be great as friends. And really should be at least on friendly terms even if they don't ever go for the whole best friends on the planet thing, especially since their respective boyfriends are best friends. But that's just me and maybe that will be explored a little more in the next book?

All told, even though there were some issues with grammar and spelling, this was a nice way to kind of wrap up Violet and Luke's main story. They're both still kind of screwed up, but things got figured out with Violet's parents case, Preston got arrested, Luke finally put his mother behind him and is working on building something with his father, and Violet is finally looking towards the future with something other than outright fear.

Not really a strong conclusion to this couple. I loved the first one but after that they get worse and worse. I wish authors would stop dragging things out and just write a complete story for couples that don't need more then one book.

perfect :D

great ending to this wonderful trilogy

Luke is such a softie and that's just awesome. Still, he always puts Violet's well-being first. And Violet? OmG, sie is so strong and stubborn but that's fine. I like them together :D No, I love them together.

unfortunately, there were a lot of mistakes in the version I read (typing errors and stuff)... Grrr...
