So this was... a book. I mean, it read fast and was fairly fun, but it suffered from bad editing. In particular, Eugene's sections were overwritten ("an inherently distrustful view of the concept of love") and full of misused words ("my real magnanimous self"). Ned's were oddly shallow- while I could see how the others moved out of their comfort zones in ways that really mattered to their health and relationships and had lasting impacts, Ned... wore a skirt? Once, and never again? It was disappointing, I think he needed more of a push to get personal. Keith and Zach's sections were solidly enjoyable.

I enjoy the Try Guys' videos and this book was more of the same, so if that's the sort of thing you like...

I've been a fan of the try guys for at least a year and a half and for the most part I really only liked Keith and Eugene from just watching their videos. But hard core listening to this audiobook (which felt more like a podcast which I know they have) made me fall for all four of them in different ways. I want to point out zach's portion towards the end when he talked about his depression hit so hard that I started bawling like a baby. Each one had stories that I could relate to and make me take a hard look at my own life.

Wow... Love this book!

A delightful and heartfelt memoir/self-help book from the wonderful Try Guys. I'm definitely feeling inspired.

This was a fun listen! It felt similar to their podcast 'cause sometimes they were just yelling LOL (mainly just Zach and Ned, and once or twice Keith did too). There's nothing really *special* about the advice they give, but it was fun to listen to them narrate different stories from their lives. Other people have mentioned that multiple stories aren't exclusive to the book (see: almost all of Ned's parts) and I've seen a few people say that some of the book-stories could have been told better in video form, which I can also agree with. When it comes down to it, it's kind of the typical "YouTuber book" where there's not much lasting value for "outsiders," it's really only meaningful to a core fanbase. With that said, I'm part of the fanbase, so I enjoyed the book. The bloopers at the end of the audio version were a fun bonus (though they're so chaotic when they all work together fjdklsjd how did the audiobook producers deal with them

Downloaded this as an audio book cause I really enjoy their videos. After listening to about 5 minutes, I returned it. It was so poorly done. Keith’s sound effects were over the top and unnecessary. The timbre of Ned’s voice was sharp and nasally. Eugene sounded bored af. Zach had the best voice but it’s not saying much. How did this audio book end up as the final product??

I tried to think about this book as if I haven't been a fan of the try guys for years! This is something I have always had trouble with if I know the author.

However one approaches the book, it's full of heart and humor. In true try guys fashion...it's a try. The try guys try writing a book. It's humble and obvious that they learned as they wrote. I think this effort should be celebrated as the try guys delivered a thought-provoking book ready to derve the laughs, tears, and feelings.

Are there slight grammar errors? Sure. But if you look at the book as what it is a "try" you will find the book all the more charming. I will always have nothing but great things to say about this book.

I'm very torn because I LOVE the Try Guys but I really don't like self help books. I appreciated the insight on their own lives (especially the family chapter - I liked Eugene's "Try") - but it read kind of superficially, and I didn't learn much that I didn't already know from watching their videos or being a patron. That being said, always happy to support these guys in their endeavours!

I am a big fan of them that I went to their show and met them privately. I even spent 70 dollars to get the autographed book. However when I finished this book, I felt empty. Like, this is it?

Most of the content you already know if you watched their videos or are a big fan of them. Thus, I got bored at some parts and dropped the book for awhile before going back in again when I had the motivation.

Overall, it is a cute book with cute pictures and I am lucky to get it autographed. My favourite parts were the chapters Style and Health.
