Tanto potencial, tanto desperdicio. Un hermoso desastre.

Victoria queer erotic insectoid horror graphic novel. There's lots of misogyny, and lots of people who are killed for their misogyny. I'm definitely intrigued to read the next volume!

It figures that my first read of the year would be an erotic/body horror about lesbian bug women.

In all honesty, I’m giving this five stars and it deserves all of them.

Sex-positive, women-positive, super diverse and hits some themes that are incredibly relevant today (no spoilers but the villain of this issue is basically the embodiment of women’s hatred for themselves and each other)

All in all - I really regret not buying the second one when I bought the first.

Well, this comic definitely isn't for the faint of heart. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though the resemblance between Sylvia and the Madam was a bit confusing at times (maybe this was an artistic choice to show the influence of The Hag?). Anyways: weird and creepy and delightful read.

This is a lesbian supernatural gothic horror book, yes but this is a power fantasy more than anything else. Not something I'd usually go for mostly because I find them often to be too...cutesy? try hard? Whatever the right word for it is, it doesn't apply to insexts. It's gritty and it doesn't shy away from showing the worst what the world has to offer to women. Of course, as said it's a power fantasy so our heroines do prevail. The satisfaction I felt in the scenes where one (or both) of them turn into fucked up bug monsters to ruin some guy -who deeply deserves it- life are paralleled with little else I read. Looking forward to the next volume.

(To note there are really weird sex scenes and I could have done without them - But whatever both the writer and illustrator are women at least)

Loved it. There are some pacing issues and snippets of overdone dialogue that could have been more subtle. But it's grotesque and beautiful, and about women who are both these things on their own terms.
