I wish I could give this collection more than 5 stars. So beautifully and masterfully written.

Maybe my favorite poetry collection of the year so far?
Absolutely stunning.
The precision of language, the play of language. It destroyed me.

I liked it surprisingly. I did have to read it twice though. I would recommend it if you know basic Arabic. Or you're interested in learning about the Arab Spring in general.

Very moving as a gay Muslim tbh. Would probably disagree with some things but I guess the gay part is relatable.

If you listen to music while reading, allow me to recommend Mystery of Love by Sufjan Stevens. It matches the theme pretty well I think.

Epitome of poetry. This collection is the collection that knighted me as a possible poet. I will forever hold it in great esteem. Truly don’t think that my love and admiration for the collection will ever decay.
