Probably Nobel laureate Herman Hesse best known works – the story is around 500 BC about a young man (No , he’s not the Buddha ) who leaves his father’s house and sets on a voyage to find himself .
The story line is very simplistic yet confronts deep philosophical questions as he encounters different people journeying across the Ganges as time flows by .

hard for me to put my thoughts together for this one. i felt like every chapter i changed my opinion on it which is probably because siddhartha changed every chapter. ultimately it’s a good book but not completely personally life changing to me.

Harry Styles recommended this book, so I thought I'd read it. A short and insightful read for anyone interested in or familiar with Indian and Buddhist philosophy and mythology. Lots of beautiful quotes relating to spiritual wisdom.

The storyline gradually unfolds into a very cohesive story and it's been delivered so beautifully. The ideology in it is very interesting and thought provoking as well. How easy is it to end up focusing on the teaching and the words and forget the essence and meaning behind them or what they eventually lead to. Truly enjoyed his book.
