Bingeable, would be my first word to describe this book and I had to stop myself from immediately jumping into book 2, since book 3 doesn't come out until January. But we follow Scarlett, Sebastian, Elliott, and Tristan. Scarlett are up in a Romanian Crime family but ran away after an attempt on her life on her 21st birthday. Sebastian, Elliott, and Tristan are an up and coming crime family who has a solid lock on their town. Until the Romanians start creeping in, they capture Scar, thinking they will trade her in order to make a deal with the Romanians to leave their territory alone. However, they all end up following for each other which complicates things.

Enjoyed the plot, and as always, Dana Islay is phenomenal when it comes to dark romance and kink. Not super attached to the characters or overall plot, but the cliffhanger was appealing.

4.5 Stars. So I fell for the Tiktok hype ( I follow the author on the app, and I've seen a couple of creators read and rec this) and I gotta say, they didn't steer me wrong. I find it hard to believe this is a debut because not only is the writing so entirely compelling, the characters are engaging (calling in dibs on Elliot) The was so fast paced, crisp, flawed characters, a heroine that didn't let the boys nor her situation keep her down, there was angst, humour and spice, and in 2021, what more can we really ask for? And I wanna be honest the only reason I knocked off half a star is not only because of the ending, but I have to wait so long for the next book...damn it.
