Horrendous ending. I think I identify with Laurie a bit too much which made the ending triggering and overall anxiety and stress inducing.
She comes back to her abusive mother who, spoiler alert, keeps being abusive and narcissistic towards her daughter. Laurie perceives it as her duty to be the continuation of her mother because her own dreams have failed (she once again relives the trauma of abandonment that her mother put her through her whole childhood and she did it again by "removing" Greg) and being Silk Spectre is basically all she has left. There was also a bit of narrative about "rEsPeCt YoUr PaReNtS". Respectfully. Fuck. That. Shit. #FreeLaurie

This issue and the entire Silk Spectre series was a blast. We had the chance to see Laurie Jupiter's story from the time she left high school until the time she attended the first meeting of the Crimebusters. She really knew how to kick some butt and she was great at pissing off her mom! This was a fun series that I really enjoyed!
