I first read this book when I was in my early teens and though it has been many years since I have read it, I safely say this is one of the few books that has resonated with me and even changed my life.

Well written, engaging and thought provoking. Very, very long.

One of my favorite books of all time.
adventurous medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: N/A
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

I know this is a much beloved book, but I didn't connect with it. I typically get caught up in character stories and I think my struggle with this was that I frequently didn't feel sympathy for mkst of the characters or at least not for any length of time.
slow-paced

I ended up skimming the last 1/4 because I was so ready to be done.

The tales of King Arthur told from the female perspective. A fabulous book (provided you enjoy fantasy).

Did not realize when I read this series (presented as one book in Audible) that the author was accused of the child sexual abuse of her own daughter and was married to a pedophile that went to jail. Fucking disgusting. I'm glad she's dead.

That said, this was still a terrible series that dragged on and on and on and on. I read this because I needed an audiobook with a soothing narrator to fall asleep to at night. And boy, did I ever fall asleep. Usually, each night, I go back in the recording to the point where I fell asleep the night before and re-start from there. But this series was SO BORING that would've taken me years. It was so one-note all the way through. Feminist retelling of Authurian legend, my ass. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I am only rating this book (and admitting to reading it) so I can do my part to bring down the overall average rating and warn off would-be readers.
