(Sigh)... It's a long time ago I read this dreadfull piece of pure (censure)
But i still shudder to remember... I hate the writing style and all the feministic crap.

A different take on King Arthur told from the perspectives of his mother, aunt and sister. It shows how the women in his life shaped his reign as king. Very enjoyable, though a long book.

The plot and story was well-written. And though some of the twists to the retelling of the legend were disturbing and not needed, it had depth and was twisted.
It did make me thoughtful to see through the eyes of the "pagans" what Christianity may have looked like as it was taking over Britain. And how both sides claimed to be the only way but how humanly broken all the people were. It was a sad time for sure. This was definitely written for more mature readers and can be disturbing in some scenes. I am glad I stuck through it til the end but probably not one I would re-read.
