The book captures the feeling of living in a dystopian world perfectly. Fear, loneliness, desperation, apathy and confusion were shown through Smith thoughts and emotions. However, the "romance" felt completely out of place and shallow. It would've been better to make Juila a like-minded companion, a friend of sorts. The human trait of loving a person would've been explored in a genuine platonic way and the loss of Julia woul've affected Smith more. Overall, even though this book was published 74 years ago it feels relevant and i feel as though it will allways do.

crazy, just crazy, I love the world's orwell comes up with and how they see so crazy. I also see how alot of these things in this book see happening now as well. which is crazy crazy book should be called 2024 instead of 1984

Creo que es uno de los libros que más he subrayado en mi vida. Qué genio el George, menudo mundo creó. La gente del Partido no podía ni sacarse un moco en paz tío, qué puto estrés. Una parte de mí siente este libro como una clara advertencia. Me ha hecho reflexionar mucho y he sacado ideas muy valiosas de esta lectura. El final me ha encantado, es que esta historia no podía haber acabado de otro modo.
