This children's story book was mentioned in Book 7 of Harry Potter and contained a legend (The Tale of Three Brothers) that was proven true. Rowling decided to actually create the story book and the result was an unforgettable supplementary to the Wizarding World. Making this even more remarkable was Albus Dumbledore's very own notes and comments about each story. He talked about the real histories behind the tales, making it richer and more grounded.
Listened to audiobook, I really loved the extra background sounds, like the fireplaces and the stirring of pots.
It felt so homely ❤
Nice cast too

Good enough, shows how the universe is vast but in the end it's truly bedtime stories. I loved the fountain one.. and of course my favorite was the tale of the three brothers

This was an okay read. I found the book in a charity shop so thought I may as well give it a go. I hadn’t read these stories before. Of course I knew the story of the Three Brothers since it featured heavily in the Deathly Hallows, but the others I knew nothing about. Honestly like other reviews say these short stories are not as good as they could have been. They do not meld in with the world to the full extent and very much feel like an “afterthought”. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this.

I think I’m a sucker for an inception moment: A book within a book created to reanimate a fantasy world we already love. Not to mention, the cheeky comments from Hermoine and Dumbledore really seal the deal.
I love this book. This is the book referred to in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows; the book Dumbeldore bequeaths to Hermione. The story of the Three Brothers which is the origin of the Deathly Hallows myth. I love these stories. They read like regular(muggle)fairy tales but they are based in the wizarding world. I love to read these stories to young children and the children love to hear them. Their are little illustrations throughout the book; it's just lovely.
I also like the way Jo Rowling added Dumbledore's personal notes between the stories. This book is super fun.
One of the best parts of this book is that the proceeds benefit disadvantaged children. It is available in physical book form or in eBook form from www.pottermore.com/shop.
I love Harry Potter, Jo Rowling, and The Tales of Beedle the Bard.
