I wanted something light and easy to read. This was the perfect choice, I can absolutely see it being read as bedtime stories.
I have absolutely loved this book! It's the magical children's fairy tales that teach young witches and wizards on the meaning of love, compassion, wisdom and other important life matters.
After being mentioned in the original Harry Potter books, it's great to finally be able to read these magical tales that Hermione received from Dumbledore in order to find clues about Voldemort's horcruxes.

This book was a nice addition to the Harry Potter canon. While it was interesting to read a fictional world from within literary world, I don't feel like the stories had any real weight to them.
I honestly find Dumbledore’s annotations and remarks on Beedle’s short stories more interesting than the stories themselves. Of the five, only Babbity Rabbity and The Tale of the Three Brothers are written in compelling ways and showcase the merit required for a well written short story. I feel like the others, while okay, are not nearly strong enough to compare to actual children’s stories. They almost feel more like afterthoughts to add to The Tale of the Three Brothers to allow for the financial gain of another book.

My thoughts:
This is a collection of five short stories written for young wizards and witches including The Tale of the Three Brothers.
I loved the short tales, and the commentary from Dumbledore after each tale. Overall, I felt like there wasn’t anything in here that absolutely wowed me or felt essential to read. However, it was a cute addition to the Harry Potter universe, and if you love all things HP, then I definitely recommend it.
I did audio for this one. There were fun elements like liquid pouring, pans clattering, and other background noises. Really fun.
