The whole gay marriage controversy tainted my reading of this book. And, for someone who has come out against gay marriage, there sure were a lot of little-boys-in-the-shower scenes, including a fight, that, when read aloud, came off as positively creepy.

I think I enjoyed the story, but thought it could have been a lot shorter.

Other than that, I can't give a fair review.

The book was fun and nuanced too bad the author is a homophobic dickwad.

This reminded me of To Sleep in a Sea of Stars and Dune mixed together. It was much better than I was expecting. A really good stand alone. The ending concludes everything nicely which I appreciate because I’m not in the mood for a series right now 😂 This really amazed me.
