A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas was fantastic! I’ve loved this whole series so much, and I really think this book is one of my favorites of all time, along with ACOMAF. I’m so sad it took me such a long time to start this series, but it’s been a really long time since I’ve absolutely devoured multiple 600+ page books in just a few sittings. I really love how easily the narration transitioned from Feyre to Nesta, and I loved the journey Nesta takes throughout ACOSF. I love that we learn more about Cassian, but still get to see many of our other favorite characters, even if it’s a little less than when Feyre narrated. I LOVE the other characters we meet in this book, namely Geyn and Emerie, and their relationships with each other throughout the book. These characters are so wonderful and robust. They certainly feel real, and I can 100% say that my love is DEFINITELY real. I just love them and this story in so many different ways, from the pacing to the interactions, it’s pretty much perfect if you are a lover of romantasy in every sense. There’s definitely a reason this series is a fan favorite, and if you haven’t read it yet, definitely pick it up and join the rest of us waiting anxiously for the next installment.

this book broke and healed me.

from the depictions of trauma and depression to friendship, love, and resilience, it was absolutely brilliant.

This book gave me everything I wanted 😭

I know there was hella smut in here but I can‘t say that I‘m complaining about it..
I loved reading about Nessa and Cassian so much more than reading about Feyre and Rhys, their love for each other is just developing but already feels huge.

Nesta‘s path was just so heartwrenching but still beautiful to see and her with Emerie and Gwyn! Perfect 😩🤌🏼

This book completely changed my opinion on Nesta and whilst i went in dreading reading from her POV i finished the book wanting to read more of her. This book is my favourite out of the series which has completely surprised me. I understand and actually resonate with Nesta now and i loved the sisterhood that was found in this book and the overall bonding of Nesta and the priestesses. I was so interested in them when they were first mentioned and im glad we got to explore that library and them in this book. I also finally got my amazing and bloodied and gruesome battle at the end that i wished was in ACOMAF and that i wished we got from Feyre that Nesta was so eager to show. There are just 2 things i would say against this book and that would be the lack of Morrigan (i hope she gets her own book) and the spicy scenes whilst i love me some good smut and im not saying they were badly written scenes more so it was just an overwhelming amount when you consider how milder the previous books were so i felt myself just skimming over them to get back to badass Nesta. Ending on a positive note this book was also written a-lot better than the previous books the writing of the others felt very receptive and certain sayings were receptively used ( watery bowels, vomiting , crude gesture etc) that made the books hard to read but this book was in my opinion written quite well and i enjoyed the writing alot more.

I know that people have their reservations. I have read this book 5 times, which I have never done before. Because I have never related to a character more. Been more inspired but a characters growth. Nesta’s story is one of triumph and I know I’m reread again, it still hasn’t lost its magic for me

This is my second read of this book, about a year later. Rereading this one, I realize just how bad it is compared to all the other books that she’s written across-the-board. So many lazy moments of writing and missed opportunities. So many plot holes and things that totally didn’t make sense. Could’ve done without all the outrageous smut that wasn’t even good. It just felt too porn-y. However,
all the references to connections to crescent city and foreshadowing is the main reason why I reread it and the main reason why anyone should read it
. I think that a lot of people can relate to Ness‘s journey, but I don’t know if it’s a good thing if you do, since she’s so horrible. By the end, she’s come around, so you kind of forget how bad she was. But she really was absolutely horrible for 70% of the book and all the others. I think that a big reason why I can’t relate or don’t enjoy that character arc is that I have to deal with a Nesta for a sister in my own life except it only gets worse, and I don’t need to read more about it.
