hace muchísimo tiempo que no leía un libro de vampiros. Creo que este libro logro sorprenderme ya que no tenia muchas expectativas, el romance me gustó mucho y creo que ambos personajes tuvieron un gran desarrollo.

Bleh, i'm not impressed. Maybe it's because vampires are just getting so over-used nowadays in literature, YA especially. The book was okay, but it never really grabbed my attention and made me want to continue with the series.

I found this book to be mostly enjoyable to read, but the way the plot twisted suddenly ruined it a bit for me. Hopefully the second book is better.

A fun, if somewhat fluffy, supernatural romance at a spooky boarding school.

SPOILERS: and yay-times-one-thousand for more YA fiction with a supernatural-girl who has to reign in her strength/passion/freakiness to protect the mortal-boy. It is my favorite kind of Twilight-antidote.

Despite the slow beginning, I read this book in two days. That's mostly because everyone who's read this book has said the sequel was a lot better. Which is to be expected, since this is just setting the scene.
I really enjoyed this book. Even though it was cliche, I really liked the relationship between Bianca and Lucas. I liked most of the characters, and the writing was fairly good for a first novel. If you can stick with this book through the first half, then I recommend it; especially to those who enjoy supernatural romance novels.

I don't want to say this book was a complete waste of my time so I'll give it a 2.5. I really think it could have been better and I think it was good, just not a good read for me. To get straight to the point here's what I didn't like. The instalove, because it's not how love works. Relationships generally go from attraction to feelings. Bianca was very immature and just not smart about any of the choices she makes. Her world is a little bubble and she's stuck inside it, unwilling to come out. I didn't like the fact that you couldn't tell this was a vampire book until like chapter 10. BUT there was one thing I did like. Her friend Raquel was amazing from what little time she did show up in the book, and way more aware of things than Bianca. And I also loved Balthazaar. He was like a little gift in the book that prevented me from crying in disappointment while reading.

Hmm, I remember reading this when I was a freshman in high school (I'm a first year university student now :P) and I remember never finishing. After discovering the girl was a vampire, I gave up on her.

I should continue to this book so I can give it a fair review, but I don't care to.

Was an okay read, a bit slow at the start but picked up towards the end. Looking foward to the rest of the books in the series.

Loved it. I even went out and bought the second book because all the libraries have wait lists. I can't wait to read how this works out.
