tbh I probably would have quit sooner if I hadn’t been too lazy to get up and grab a different book before my sunk cost set in

I enjoy books that feature complicated heroines, even if their actions are sometimes frustrating to witness as a reader. I liked that Nora wasn't attempting to be "likable", that she had her own agenda, and that she did things her way regardless of what anyone else thought. She's definitely not someone I'd enjoy dealing with in person, but I found her a very impressive character and definitely plan to read more about her.

Compelling main character, but the plot was just okay.

I thought the synopsis of this book was great, that’s why I picked it up, but the execution on the other hand, not so great.
I liked the start, the premise was interesting and the characters engaging, and then it just fell flat. I will say that I didn’t expect the reason/climax, but I wish we ended up seeing more of Bonnie considering how she was the focus of the plot.
To describe this book in one word: boring. Maybe I just don’t like mystery/thrillers from an investigative perspective, I don’t know.
