Not usually the type of book I would choose, but it came highly recommended. Never expected to cry either! A fantastic story.

This was a really frustrating book to read. Grisham is a great story-teller, although even though I’ve never read any of his sports books, I could anticipate what was going to happen. Still, I was engaged. But I felt he really did not understand South Sudanese culture and the refugee experiences, and barely acknowledged the culture shock Sooley and others would deal with.
