I finally received this book via Goodreads First Reads giveaway. It was worth the wait! What a good book. It had me laughing out loud at times, and cheering for Jess/Deanna. I so wanted her to overcome her 'issue'. It was very interesting. Gave me insight into a world I didn't have much knowledge of. The whole concept was completely new as well. Great read.

Ok so it wasn’t the book I was listening to the audio version. I am not sure I am cut out for audio books... my imagination is just too good that I find if the narrator isn’t as good I just slip out of the story and focus on the faults of the narrator. I am also not keen on the lecture style manner it sometimes has, and the characters are a bit cliched and copies of other book characters sorry this just didn’t really gel with me. I love Dexter but I can’t see where the analogy comes from, just where. The only analogy I can compare this book to is Fifty Shades just with upped for the max of possible, I disliked the main character and found her annoying as hell, and too cliched. I also hated all the men characters way too cliched and also just a tad on the boarder of attacking the men because well men do bad shit so let’s up the sex, the horrible language (sorry don’t mind swearing but this was a joke I could do a drinking game with this one) and just yeah a bit too gung-ho let’s save the kid wooo wtf and where the hell did that come from?. Sorry but no from me

I loved this book. It's not something I'm used to read, not my genre at all, and I thought there was going to be more steamy scenes and romance. But even though I was wrong about that, I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed this story, the way it was written and Deanna's journey.

I found her and his job and personality totally fascinating. I was amazed by the way she thinks and the way she lives. I've never read something like this and I will get my hands into the sequel as soon as possible, I can't wait to know what's going to happen next.

This book was intriguing, it had the perfect amount of mystery, and every doubt you may have at the beginning is solved at the right time. Even though you can almost know the whole thing just by reading the summary at the back of the book, it's still awesome to go through. It's fast paced, and it took me less than I expected to finish it.

I loved Jeremy, I wish there was more of him during the story. I need more of him and Deanna. One of my favorite parts were also the definitions of the profiles of the different clients. So interesting.

So yeah, I totally recommend this book and I can't wait to read the second one.

This was dark and very thrilling. Giving me goosebumps in so many ways. Loving the plot, the unexpected, the suspense, the unique and odd, the romance, the twisted and disturbing fantasies. The story telling in different point of views were done well although I can't catch up at first on the relation of certain chapters but I love the narrative phase and its descriptions. Deanna's thoughts and feelings were perfectly elaborated. Very vivid and it feels real like I got to be inside her shoes and understanding her character. The conflicts and issues about Deanna's condition really giving me an impact in understanding a thing about mental illness. The character's development was great, I actually love listening all of Deanna's story-- her 'sickness' led to her strength, and love Jeremy and that super helpful Mike. A surprising page turner. Love the ending!
