An anthology filled with short stories, poems, comics, etc that portray different parts of the Mexican American experience. Being able to relate to a lot of these stories, I really enjoyed it. & even if you don’t, it offers really good perspective into these lives.
There were some stories that I wished were longer or I could have had some background , but overall a good read.

This was a little educational and a lot of seeing the similarities and differences between some Mexican experiences and my own. I enjoyed learning a bit of folklore and culture and also seeing reflections of my own understanding of first crushes and bullying. A great collection.

Very thoughtful stories regarding the true nature of being Mexican-American in the US. I could see myself, friends and family in each narrative. Very good book that I hope gets turned into a short series of TV episodes.
