There is some grey area concerning consent a few times that includes an aphrodisiac drug. I am sensitive to that content but it didn’t bother me too much in this book. There was also the threat of an innocent woman being SAed but she is rescued before that occurs.
Those things as well as the whirlwind romance, it takes place in like a few days made me want to drop it a star point.
However, I still really liked it. Both characters were strong and ruthless and powerful and used that with each other to compliment each other. There was an interesting variation in the explicit scenes. Also in such a short book I felt like there was a ton of world building and would love to read more from this author in the future.

As said in my review there was the threat of sexual assault but it didn’t occur. Also a grey area where drugs were used to manipulate desire.marsh_mall0w's review

And good gods, it was confusing. So much happened in the second half of this book with barely any breathing room. If you asked me to explain it to you, I don’t know if I could—which is bad, considering I finished it less than two hours ago. I’ll give Jenny credit where it’s due—the ideas here are interesting, even if the execution wasn’t great. I think this book’s biggest issue was its length, because 150 pages just was not enough for the plot’s complexity. If this had been a full 300-400 page fantasy romance novel, given proper time to explore the characters’ pasts and traumas, to let them overcome those things naturally, and really build up the stakes of everything going on with the druid… it could’ve been so amazing.
But unfortunately, that was not what happened. And the book as it is now is just… fine. Very fine. Very (I hate to say it, but) forgettable. Sorry not sorry.
And also, the fact that the druid had a Scottish accent, that Jenny wrote his dialogue the way she did and that I’ve been playing a lot of Disney Dreamlight Valley lately… literally the only thing I could think of was Scrooge McDuck. Which is so not a good thing when reading smut. 💀💀💀
(I know that’s not the author’s fault, or the book’s. But still. It happened. And it was really weird.)

Sexual content is explicit but entirely consensual. Most other things are marked because the protagonist is an assassin. Death/grief because she lost her sister prior to the story. Drug use is forced; there are two scenes where she’s given an aphrodisiac against her will, though luckily nothing bad happens as a result.patchy_at_best's review

I really enjoyed this. I really liked how the Druid accepted Stheno as she was and continued to surprise her by doing this. I liked how they opened up and learned about each other. I loved how they were together and learned to trust one another. This is a great read.

The spice was the plot, but there was also actual plot to be invested in! I really liked the characters and the twist at the end. Looking forward to a Perseus/Medusa story.
The whole message of finally finding peace after so long of just surviving, and limiting yourself to only fighting for something you really believe in resonated with me more than I think a 140-page book should have, but here we are.
