A sweet short story about a man, Smith, who can venture freely into the land of faery. I was surprised when I finished the story 1/4 of the way through the book. The rest of the book is commentary on the story by other writers or by Tolkien himself. It’s an interesting read if you’re curious about Tolkien’s writing habit or his thoughts on faeries.

I loved this. It’s quite short so I want to read it again in a while to appreciate what I might have whizzed passed. I’d love to see this as an animated film.
