Honestly just one of the best series I’ve ever read, so glad the final book is coming out and I can re-read all the others.
Regardless of where the rest of the series goes, this first book is just so good. I only gave it four stars because this is just the first half so it doesn’t actually contain the avalanche (which is part of what makes the first book so great) but even so, I was surprised at how enjoyable it was to reread. It doesn’t drag, despite being almost 600 pages. There’s the exact right amount of lore and worldbuilding (which is, in my opinion, a very small amount because I just don’t really care for it). Dalinar’s struggle of weighing up the warrior he used to be and the man he is becoming is interesting, Shallan is… not that annoying yet… I guess? But this book is really about my pookie bear Kaladin. I love him 😭❤️
I will most likely read the second part (probably not straight away though) because it seems weird to just reread half of a book. Not sure if I’ll keep going after that but either way, pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable this was to revisit.

I wanted to like this so bad hence why I even bothered to finish it but the only interesting parts (for me) were the kaladin ones, the rest was just very boring
Så himla bra!! Episk fantasy som aldrig kändes seg eller tung. Superspännande värld som känns rejält genomtänkt och uppbyggd med olika länder, politik, historia, natur, folkslag och mystik. Intressanta karaktärer som drog in mig i berättelsen och såååå många hemligheter som avslöjas långsamt så att man kan pussla ihop ledtrådarna själv innan de avslöjas. Ahhh måste ha fortsättningen, måste veta vad som händer
