sanderson left me gagged and wanting for more

Ahhh the first pages of a massive Fantasy Series are always just so mumbo Jumbo I love it

elenasquareeyes's review against another edition

DID NOT FINISH: 20%

 1. I kinda accidentally ended up DNF-ing it. I got to chapter 11 and it really wasn’t pulling me in like Sanderson’s other books which was a surprise as I really enjoyed and gave all of the other ones I’ve read at least 4 stars. I think it was because one storyline seemed to be military fantasy which has never been my cup of tea and I didn't really grasp this arcs magic rules as quickly or as well as previous ones. I liked the girl who could draw well and was looking for a mentor to steal things from though.
2. My mum has Alzheimer’s and with looking after her plus a full-time job I haven’t had time to read anything except the audiobook I listen to on my walk to and from work so I just haven’t had the time and the size of these books are also intimidating.
So yeah. Maybe one day when I’m more in the right frame of mind for a dense fantasy I’ll return to the Stormlight Archives and give it another go but for now this is me bowing out of Brandon Sanderson books.
