I want to start by saying that I'm enjoying this series a lot. It's entertaining, the characters are likeable and the stories are gripping and emotional. I want to make this clear because the rest of my review is going to sound bitchy af.
My biggest problem with this book (with this series actually) is the timeline. We have a single mom here, her baby barely 2 months old, and a guy who has gone through a huge betrayal in a past relationship. Yet in a single month they are in love, living together and the guy is claiming the baby as his (adorable, yes, but not my point). For me it would have worked so much better if the author had stretched the relationship over a year instead of a month, it would have made everything more believable. Also, and this is obviously a personal preference, but one that is bothering me nonetheless, I feel like every single character in this series is trying to have the coolest name evah and it's getting ridiculous. Two more things: 1) a trained chef should know that carbonara is not made with bacon and 2) I have never, ever in my life met a new mom who didn't have a nanny who had the time to blow dry her hair every morning. Show me one. I dare you.
Other than that, Memphis and Knox and baby Drake (see rant about names above) were adorable and swoony and I'm really glad they got their HEA.

cute light read! 3.8⭐️ because i love found family trope. plot is barely there and her bd’s wife being a mafia is kinda.. out of touch with reality lmao. that reveal was surprising as much as it was hilarious. not worth reading the whole series tho i think
Things I liked:
- Absolutely adorable!
- Completely obsessed with Knox and Eden.
- I really liked how the backgrounds of the character came out slowly throughout the book. It felt like there was a lot of mystery there.
- Baby was sooooooo cute! Loved seeing Knox with him especially.
- I jumped in without reading book one and felt perfectly fine.
Things I didn’t like:
- Can’t think of anything
4⭐️ this was super cute and if you have baby fever, you’re gonna inexplicably love this book like I did even though there is absolutely ZERO personality for either the FMC or MMC outside of their one (1) designated character trait LMAO
like at the end of the day do we even know why they liked each other? nope
but this was cute and small town and single mom and Knox was a chef and it was just so

Devney Perry is a great author. I really loved her Crossroads book so I decided to give the Edens series a try and I really love all the stories so far. Each book follows a member of The Eden Family and their life. This book was the second in the series following Memphis and Knox's story. Memphis was such a strong female lead and I loved her. She was vulnerable, real and never strayed far from her true self. Knox was brooding, black cat type of man and just had that protective vibe (but not overbearing). They were brought together when Memphis blew into town for a job at the Eloise (Knox's sister's hotel) and needed a place to stay. Knox worked at the hotel as a chef and so happened to have an extra room at his place. So this story stems from forced proximity but they also just had great natural chemistry. Their banter was fun and seeing their story unfold was entertaining. The one thing I really do love about each book so far is there is always a twist in the third "act" that you never see coming and adds a little bit of mystery and tension.
