If this had been the first science fiction I'd ever read I would never have read another. Holy shit was this ever bad.
The fact that it takes until 85% through the book for Paul to wonder to himself if everything he ever does is going to be legendary when as noted in!!! exhaustive!!!! detail!!!, every breath he takes and word he breathes is groundbreaking, magnificent, remarkable, unlike any breath ever breathed before--something so incredibly man-like in his breath, like he's been doing it all his life instead of only now taking up the challenge--the breath of a man who with that breath controls and moves and motivates and arouses every man who might conceivably consider the thought that Paul might be, in that moment, engaging in the act of breathing--and who wouldn't consider it, isn't everyone at all moments considering Paul in one way or the other, unless they're underestimating him and his breathing, in which case they are soon learning not to do that again--

Enjoyed the start but got hella confused with timelines at the end (intentionally?). Listening on audiobook probably didn’t help

I really liked the book, planning to read others in the series. The world building is unreal, very impressive creativity and I enjoyed the story.
