This book is stunning, there is a depth here that is never even hinted at in other novels and it's so much more than just another "sci-fi epic". Frank Herbert created an entire world that is rich in detail and gives you glimpses of there being so much more buried beneath the sand without overwhelming you or burying you in senseless details. While the names and the world may take some adjusting to the effort is well worth it.

I keep coming back to this book. The first time through I loved it, but on every subsequent reading I love the story, the world, the characters, and the nuance of the book even more.
