I have fallen down into the rabbit hole of sapphic hollywood romance…

Two women in their late 40s, two co-stars filming a movie and playing the love interests, one closeted lesbian and one who hasn‘t figured it all out yet, acting that might actually be something more…

I quite literally fell in love with these two. Idk the story doesn‘t really have anything that special about it but it was so full of love and just warmed my heart (or maybe i just have a thing for middle-aged actresses, who knows ;)).

Also plus points for no age-gap, barely no angst just good vibes, older main characters which is actually quite rare, usage of the word lesbian and not just toying around it.

"Just in case anyone got any ideas in their head: Ida is mine."

As a queer actress myself I loved that this book took place on set and was focused on the film industry. Ida and Faye had the best chemistry and I just couldn't stop giggling.

Two A list actresses, one closeted, one "straight" starring in a lesbian film - and sparks fly? I ATE THIS UP

The length of this book was perfect, not too long or too short, just chefs kiss. Couldn't put it down.

I partly listened to the audiobook and partly read the book physically, and both experiences were perfect. I'm obsessed with the audiobook, her voice was so sexy.

My new favorite palet cleanser romcom!
