Ugh! I am OBSESSED

Thank you PRH audio for my ALC!

This one is a solid 4 stars, I have read previous Sarah’s books on audio and I followed the same for The Rule Book and I am happy to announce that the narration is spot on just like the others. I love a dual POV in romance books especially for audio reads and the narrators Hathaway Lee and Will Damron did perfect justice. If you loved cheat sheet this is going to be a treat, I in fact liked it better than Cheat Sheet

Overall this is cute, comfort reading kind of book with the trademark Sarah Adams style of cozy writing with a touch of quirk and humor. I love that it has so many wonderful tropes that somehow perfectly worked in tandem, a sports romance with marriage of convenience between ex lovers turned enemies to partners at work. It also wonderfully represented Dyslexia and inequality at workplace in the world of sports. I loved Derek as MMC with his big hunk but a softie on the inside vibes , his character comes off as more matured and thoughtful. Nora and Derek’s romance worked great with some vague open door scenes that is new for Sarah’s books. It was also fun to glimpse into the lives of the couple from The Cheat Sheet.

My only issue was with Nora and how her character came off as overly quirky and immature at times, her one liners were fun in the beginning but quickly became a tad overused later on. I thought Nora’s character could have used little bit more refinement

DID NOT FINISH: 20%

I cannot listen to this narrator anymore. I find the point of view childish and receptive. I’m sorry! I think I’m the problem and I’m just in a bad mood. 🙈

The beginning was great, but I struggled to finish this book so bad. It’s like it was me fighting with this book so much at the end so I hated it
