i originally rated this a 1 star. But then a few hours passed by and i realized i could not get it out of my head. Considering the author achieved the pure unsettling and disturbing feeling that im assuming was the goal, it gets a 3. But i wont read it again and tbh i wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to be traumatized by a book.

I’m not going to rate this book because I genuinely don’t know what I feel. This is hands down the weirdest book I have ever read. The writing was fine and the book was fast paced & the contents of the book was so bizarre and weird it left me wanting to read more to see what happened next so I guess that’s a win?

This book has messed with my head for sure. Not in a ‘I’m traumatised’ kind of way but in a ‘what the fu*k did just read way. I’m writing this literally right after finishing it hence the rambled thoughts, I guess that’s an accurate representation of how this books has left me.

I will say for sure read the trigger warnings as some themes in this book are very graphic

I read this is 1 sitting!

I'm still kind of shell shocked by it!

Vague Summary:
A man has a dark connection to a motel room.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I'm dipping my toes into extreme horror, so I was a little nervous about what to expect from this book. It absolutely did NOT disappoint!

It left me disturbed and unsettled, but not disgusted and I was able to easily finish it. It definitely had the effect of a good horror movie! (I'm more knowledgeable about horror movies and more extreme horror movies than I am books)

If you want to be unsettled, disturbed, left feeling a little weird, and unsure what to do with yourself after reading, then this book is for you!

I've already saved book 2 on Kindle unlimited!
