Review: 𝕯𝖆𝖓𝖈𝖊𝖔𝖋𝕽𝖚𝖎𝖓 had me sweating from the first meet-hate. Nico and Naomi were absolute fire together and the dance of ruin they did was intoxicating to read. Nico was not a soft, kind or caring man but once he found Naomi we began to see the one crack in his armor he allowed. Seeing the way Jagger continues to weave and expand upon the massive universe he has created had me ecstatic since some of my OG favorites had brief cameos in this book and I will never say no to seeing one of the Drakos brothers!
Naomi was the perfect counter-balance to Nico and the way she tempered his rage at times was both hilarious and thrilling to read. I enjoyed how she could tame his beast but also set it off at the same time and this just lead to the spice being some of the hottest I have ever read by Jagger. The way Naomi grew in this book and faced the fear of failure in the public eye had me cheering her on and I loved seeing Nico there silently beside her lending his reluctant (at first) strength.
Nico…hands down was my favorite! The way he ensorcels Naomi into his web of lies, deception and ruin and then ends up in the ruination himself was “chef’s kiss”. Jagger knew how to pack the most emotional impact with Nico finding out the truth about the tape that sets everything in motion at just the right time and I can say my heart is not the same after seeing this brute of a man reduced to shreds on his knees. The groveling (or begging) the he did once he realized Naomi was his one was the final cherry on top of this book and I can’t wait to read more about each member of the secret society as Jagger unfolds more of the subplots as this series goes on!
Rating: 5/5; Nico Barone!! This book had me addicted in the worst ways and Nico just added fuel to the flames!
Thank you Jagger & Valentine for the eARC!
Love when men throw themselves on their knees and beg to be forgiven.

ARC Review!
3.75 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nico Barone and Naomi Kim 💞
I liked the book more because of the chemistry or spice between the couples than the plot.
Nico is the dark unhinged younger son of Vito Barone. Broody, dark energy, and what not.
Naomi is ballerina who craves the darkness of Nico since the moment they met.
Soon after, Naomi's dad causes a problem against the Barone Family
And Nico blackmails Naomi into being his little toy. 🥵
It soon turns in something different, something more...... But would the duo survive it?
Plus points:
Nico is truly unhinged. Naomi is innocent helpless initially. Later there is some character development.
The grovel after the misunderstanding was apt too. 💞
The light BDSM in the book was to my liking. The spice was indeed spicying 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
The rest of the members of the Black Court remains a mystery even after the book ends.
Enjoyed the love between Kratos and Bianca even though given as sideplot.
Could have been better:
There were times the plot felt weak 🥲
The plot twist was predictable too.
The misunderstanding could have been avoided 😉
It felt like there were multiple ropes the author tried to put together.

I liked this book a lot but the characters didn’t have much build up between the enemies to lovers. Like I don’t totally buy it🤨

I love it!! It’s one of my favorites from Jagger Cole! I just love Nico. He’s so sweet, yet so dark. He’s my perfect balance of dark and cinnamon roll.
Him and Naomi were perfect for each other. I also love identity reveal. It wasn’t complicated though, you can easily catch on with what’s happening.
So excited for the next book. So far, this series is turning out to be a good one, not just a specific book but the whole series, it seems like.

This is the second book in the Darkest Dance series. We have the Black Court made up of powerful men of the mafia world. This book focuses on Nico who is the brother of Carmine from the first book. Nico is an extremely intelligent man, he’s handsome, bejeweled and very perceptive. Nico is the Raven and at the beginning of this book there was an attempt made on the life of his father but the attack happened to his sister. Upon investigation it appears that Naomi’s father was responsible for the hit. But since he has been appointed as a cabinet member for the president of the U.S. they are unable to punish him. So Nico decides to punish Naomi the daughter who dances with his sister. Nico is really into BDSM and he makes Naomi his submissive. Nico quickly realizes that he is addicted to her and what starts as them doing scenes becomes her moving into his home. Naomi also has some concerns about a situation she got herself tangled up in. I loved Nico. Although he is your typical mafia guy, I loved that he was super intelligent and accepting of his feelings for Naomi and how he needed to be with her. I was super impressed with Vaughn a male dancer friend. He has generally been seen as a jokester but I was glad to see another side of him. I’m anxiously awaiting his book to find out his background and life. This book was wonderful, extremely spicy great mystery a wonderful addition to this series.

I flew through this book. There was plenty of mafia content, as well as the twisted romance between Naomi and Nico. There was a lot of spice and it’s really what their relationship was based on because you didn’t get many interactions between them that were more emotion based. Honestly it didn’t bother me because the book was so fast paced and there was always something happening.
I personally preferred this book to Dance of Deception but both of them are fantastic.
Thank you to VPR and Jagger Cole for the arc and this is my honest review.
