I know I recently complained about Say Nothing but I enjoyed this book MUCH more. It was quite comprehensive, well-researched, troubling and fascinating and truly damning of all involved, no matter how they’ve tried to distance themselves from the harm they’ve caused.

One of my top books of the year so far! Keefe is an incredible author who made 500 pages of family dynamics, advertising, and pharmaceuticals wildly engrossing. I learned so much about pharmaceuticals, the history of pharmaceutical advertising and background of the opioid crisis, while loving every second of it. Sounds far fetched, I know. But Keefe expertly draws in the reader, introducing new characters at perfectly timed intervals, which can be extremely difficult to do in a book such as this.
