Cerulean was recommended as similar to The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, but I prefer Witches as a cozy, comfort, found-family read.
Graphic: Xenophobia
Moderate: Fatphobia, Body shaming, and Hate crime
Minor: Child abuse and Religious bigotry

I bought this one immediately after I read it.
Graphic: Xenophobia
Moderate: Child abuse, Fatphobia, Confinement, Body shaming, and Cursing
Minor: Cannibalism, Death of parent, Body horror, Gore, Blood, Physical abuse, and Genocide
I added the body shaming/fatphobia tags because Linus is sensitive about his own weight for most of the book. Nobody else comments on it, except for the kids in a matter-of-fact and non-insulting way. Everything else is merely alluded to, either by Lucy (the Antichrist character) in comments that he makes for shock value that are all played for laughs (Blood/Body horror/Gore/Cannibalism) or as part of characters' backstories (Child abuse/Confinement/Death of parent/Genocide/Physical abuse).lisa_m's review against another edition

All in all I would absolutely recommend this book. It is way more than just a fun book about children on a beautiful island! (even though it is that as well)
Moderate: Abandonment, Hate crime, Religious bigotry, and Xenophobia
Minor: Confinement and Child abuse

I had turned to “fluff” romantic books because my “literary” deep heavy books were too much. However, I had been disappointed in the rom com plot lately but still didn’t want to turn back to the heaviness of wars and drama of society in other books. I had been waiting for this book for awhile and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. It was so wonderful. I’ll be thinking about these characters for a long time and also searching for whatever books can given me a similar experience.
Moderate: Abandonment and Xenophobia
