I'm normally not a big fan of short stories but this was class. The majority of female POV's, the vibes, the pure Irish-ness of it all!

An absolutely arresting collection of short stories that speak about the emotional termoil of being a woman and transitioning from child to adult. The women in these stories were messy, complicated, reserved and completely relatable. The audiobook is beautifully read too.
Content notes for drowning, teenage pregnancy and miscarriage.

I've decided not to give this a star rating, mostly as I felt really disconnected from these short stories, reading mostly to tick this off my TBR. While some did stick out to me, I don't remember enough of it to offer any well constructed thoughts or criticism, except to say the setting and melancholy of the characters feels vaguely Sally Rooney-esque (I feel like I say this every third review, but it is my brand)
