Kara’s finally growing on me, but I still wish we had more time with Ryder, Michael, and Jim than we get with Kara and Matt’s whole “we shouldn’t be doing this but the sex is just so goooood” thing. like, people, a dozen people have been murdered. can we focus? this book does get points for having less exclamation marks, a less depressing ending, and a murderer who literally gets eaten by an alligator, so I’ll continue with the series, but let’s hope there’s less focus on the “romance” in the next one.

Quinn and Costa is a slow burn romance subplot which moved from a friends w benefits situation to more. Matt figures out the bond he has with Kara before she does. Premise of book 4 is six deaths and 1 missing all girls just out of college. The twists are unexpected and attention grabbing. Only put this book down when necessary even then didn’t want to. I highly recommend Seven girls Gone, but I recommend you start with third to die in ordered to follow the shift and growth of Kara and Matt’s relationship. Allison Brennan’s writing is brilliant, her plot compelling and her character development stellar. This riveting thriller’s conclusion was unexpected and I didn’t see it coming. For purposes of plot both twists and why ending was riveting remains not addressed so you have to pick up this book and read it.
