I was loving this series up till this one. It really took awhile for me to slog through, and considered not finishing at some points. I wish I could pinpoint where this one differed from the first three? Not as focused a plot, a portion where there was a huge chunk of "what came before" as if I hadn't read the first three books. I wanted more character development and less 'drama.' I love the banter between the characters, but this book it seemed a bit off... I'm really hoping that the next installment will get back to the first books in the series. I care what happens to Ro and Nava. I really want Drio's story...and Ari and Kane deserve their own story too.
I will have to take a wait and see approach and hope we get back on track in the future.

This one was turbulent! So many ups and downs in Nava and Ro's relationship. And actually also in the investigation, we thought we'd hit a breakthrough but then it turned out to be a dead end, etc. Loads of good stuff! I'm interested to see how Nava's power and the whole Lila debacle will pan out.

OMG Deborah Wilde just blows my mind. I am so caught up in this story that I am desperate for the next instalment... but since this just came out, I guess I will have to have patience - such torment!

Book 4 in this series see the plot thicken, we now have more witches in the mix too, but also deepens, the relationships are spellbinding! Nava and Ro are amazing to watch together and heartbreaking too, such devotion. We also see into Drio’s heart a little more, but I sense more to come here.

The story is still full of angst and sexual tension, as well as plenty of steamy romance between Nava and Ro, but with a complex and intriguing mystery to solve as well. More demons, more action and just not enough... I need the next book now!!

There are still plenty of issues to unravel, always with brotherhood, loyalty, blatant misogyny and hidden betrayals. I highly recommend this book.

I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest and independent review.

Note: This series needs to be read in order.

I’ve been enjoy the Nave Katz series. I’ve found the novels to be action-packed and entreating. The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Crave uncovers some interesting things and digs into a mystery, but it also was lacking in character development and those action-packed scenes.

I had a difficult time getting into The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Crave. Their where things I liked, but there where more things that just bothered me this go around.

Things I Liked:

• I like the covers for this series and the titles for the books. They fit each novel perfectly.

• I enjoyed the mystery of this new drug thats hit the streets. It’s not a normal drug and it affects people differently.

• Things are revealed in many areas. Personal, the Witches, the Brotherhood, Demons, and more.

• I was very happy to see Nava making friends with those in her Brotherhood house.

What Bothered Me:

• Nava has grown a little, but not as much as she should have. She’s not so wild and out of control as she has been, but she still is not thinking through her actions.

• I’m also disappointed in the lack of training for Nave. She’s in the Brotherhood, but she still doesn’t have the training that all the boys have. They started as kids learning and fighting and well Nava didn’t have that. She needs to study and train, yet she’s not.

• We get progress in finding out who is binding demons, but in this area when Nava learns something she goes to either the Witches, Demons, or the Brotherhood, the ones who know what she is doing, and she tells them that information, which then stirs up a hornets nest. She doesn’t ask discrete questions or investigate well. What she does is get everyone ruffled up.

• And, her relationship. It’s been an on again off again thing. Nava and Rohan are in a good place at the start, but at the end it’s off again. I’m so over this up and down romance. I'm also disappointed that Rohan doesn’t share his personal life aka his history with Nava. He knows everything about her, yet she still doesn't know things about him that she should. I'm also upset with Nava; because of a choice she makes at the end which she knows won't end well for her and it doesn't. Now, I will say that their sexy time is sexy, but I did have an issue with the author trying to progress their relationship with them have sex without a condom. I didn't have an issue with the no condom. My issue is I didn't feel that they where ready for that step in their relationship.

The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Crave was just ok. The story was slow throughout and it left me with with more questions by the end about the Brotherhood, the Witches, and the Demons as well as feeling sad about Nava and Rohan’s relationship. I’m at a point where I’m not sure if I want to continue with the Nava Katz series. Their was just to much that bothered me this time around.

Crave is the fourth book in the Nava Katz series by Deborah Wilde and if you haven’t started this series yet, you are missing out. With a fantastic cast of characters focused on ridding the world of dangerous demons, these books have become some favorites of mine in the paranormal genre.

Picking up where book three left off, Nava and Rohan are officially together, and things appear to be going well. I mention this because they have had a few bumps and things are nowhere near perfect for these two in Crave but they are great together and they are both trying to figure out what it means to be ā€œtogetherā€. The banter between them is fantastic and the sexy times are too!

While Nava and Rohan are still working to figure out who within the brotherhood is corrupt and working against them, they also have a new challenge to face. There is a drug out on the streets that is hurting users in a way that only a demon potentially could. As they go on the hunt for the demon known as Candyman, Nava and Rohan have to face some things about themselves and their relationship that they may not be ready to face.

This series continues to get better with every installment. I found myself unable to put this book down not only because of the characters but there are so many layers to this that I wanted to know what was going to be revealed next.

As a character, Nava has shown a lot of growth. She knows that not everyone in the brotherhood supports her being there but no matter what those people think, she is going to do the best she can, and I think that is a different Nava than we had in the first book. Now – I’m not saying she isn’t snarky and in your face about things because she wouldn’t be Nava if that weren’t true, but I love that she is also working hard and taking things seriously no matter what.

So, there isn’t much more I can say without potentially spoiling something so this is where I will leave it. Just know that if you are looking for a paranormal series that has a slew of interesting characters, a story that will keep you turning the pages, and some swoons and snark, consider checking this (and the other books too!) out when you can. I will be over here patiently waiting for the next book in the series as well as anything else Wilde wants to write.

Thank you to the author for the copy in exchange for an honest review.

Nava finally has her own mission yay!!! :D
When a night out results in a frenemy being possessed by demonic energy, Nava and Rohan need to find out where the Sweet Tooth drug comes from, who makes it and how it can contain demonic energy. At the same time their investigation into the Brotherhood dealings is getting heated: while they are bringing more fellow Rasha's in on the team and slowly but surely gathering clues... they are being watched and the opposition isn't happy... at all.
Dealing with pissed off demons, witches and their own budding relationship... what can go wrong?

My take on the book:
Where to begin! It seems as though every book sucks me in more and more. I love the gang but seriously... I just love Nava most of all, her snarky humor, her insecurities, her stubbornness to do everything she can for the people she loves and the way she kicks some serious demon ass :D
When reading the story its like you're there, living it along side them. Love it!
This book truly felt like a rollercoaster. The drug mission, finding out what the Brotherhood is up to with the binding of demons and the way Nava and Rohan come together.
I rly rly rly need the next book like... yesterday!

The book was excellently written and I didn't find any errors. The flow was great with enough brakes between the action to allow for breathing.
Character development was good, some big mysteries/histories were revealed and we know our gang a tad better now. Seeing the couples have some time off and relax with each other was nice to see, revealing a totally different side (especially for Drio!).
There was a fair amount of sex involved, though not very graphic (except maybe for one bondage scene. So if that's important for you.. you should be good to go).
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and to be totally honest, it was a few evenings very well spent. Laughing, face palming, cheering, cringing and crying... we had it all.

All in all, another great book in the Nava Katz series, it feels a bit different because of the romances going on (and you get seriously emotionally invested)... but boy does it deliver on all fronts! Go read it now! :)
