A really interesting mix of fantasy and science fiction. It ended with an incredible set up for the sequel. I’m not sure how I feel about Storme being alive, but I’m sure it’ll be explained in book 2.

Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my g o d
I cannot praise this book enough. The entire fantasy world is just so beautifully and intricately explored, it's so creative and unique I just loved every detail of. The characters are amazing too, you couldn't help but get attached to practically everyone when you were introduced to them, if only because of how the main characters cared for them. I loved how the story turned the classic "human's subjugate autos" trope and completely flipped it over it's head, it was such a refreshing take. Crier and Alya's lives (beyond the romance, although that was amazing too), just intertwine and connect in so many different ways, i's pretty beautiful. I'm reading the final book in the duopoly immediately. I'm so glad it's out.
