i love steampunk and i really liked how this was more plot-driven (i think i prefer this route for steampunk compared to character-driven) though i have no particular feelings on the romance. the characters are interesting though!

i wish there was a bit more action. I liked the way some things were written but it does take awhile to understand what’s going on. I also wish we had some indication of who’s speaking when switching perspectives bc there were moments where I was confused bc i was under the assumption that i was reading another character. I did enjoy the world/characters.

Knew nothing about this series or the setting so jumping in blind was really exciting.
