I'm really sorry but unfortunately this book was simply not for me. I struggled with the characterization and was unable to connect with the characters. It was a bit ott for me, but I know a lot of people would love this book!

I literally have no idea why these two are so cruel to each other when they end their friendship to when they meet again.
I get being upset that your best friend treated you like garbage and left for a different school, but why is it affecting them 3 years later? For it being such a "fleeting FWB," they certainly didn't act like it. Instead they acted like they'd been dating for years and were madly in love with each other.
It felt like it was trying WAY too hard to be FWB.

A quick and enjoyable read, but just like the third book in this series I thought the sudden change from these two characters hating each other’s guts to suddenly calling the other one ‚my love‘ was very quick and somewhat unbelievable
This book didn't really work for me. It was a quick read, but the characters felt inconsistent, and some aspects of their relationship seemed to come out of nowhere. The conflict was also the really annoying type of miscommunication, both Cameron and Riley had extreme bitterness towards one another that I found hard to always get behind, and then all of a sudden they were all over each other, and soon after that it was "my love" all the time. There was a lot of telling and not much showing for some scenes that I felt would have made a difference in their relationship development, so I felt like I was missing chunks of the book. I also felt like some of the hockey references didn't make much sense?? This could just be a me thing (who played hockey for 14 years) but the way the scenes where they were dressing and undressing in the locker room were written confused me. Like, the order that they put/took off their equipment seemed weird and confusing and not logical, which threw me off.
Start to finish great book. Cant wait to read more
Cute quick read that focused more on character development than spice! Wish we got more of both Cam and Riley’s backstory. Will be reading the rest in the series.
