Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Couple: James & Bex

❝And I’m hoping to add new routines, anyway.” My heart does a somersault; I can’t help smiling. “Oh yeah?” “Waking up next to my girl can’t hurt.❞

Cuteness in the form of James, that's what this book was all about. When this man falls he falls hard. It was the last thing he wanted but he had no fight against it. Overboard definitely, but damn he was the sweetest. I really liked Bex in the beginning but unfortunately she took a turn for me and I was not a fan. The storyline and the James family kept me entertained enough for me to want to continue on with the rest of his siblings.

My first Grace Reilly book and I really enjoyed it :-)

Bex is a business student at university, with her life mapped out. She’ll finish her degree then move home to run a diner with her mother, who’s still heartbroken over her husband walking out years earlier. All the while Bex secretly wants nothing to do with the diner and wants to be a photographer.

James is a star American football player, and needs to pass his writing class to graduate to the NHL. So when he asks Bex to tutor him she agrees; as long as he fake dates her to get her cheating ex Daryll off her back.

But we all know in a romance book how easy it is to slip from fake dating into something real…

This book is an easy read with loveable characters and decent spice. Recommend!

Spice was abrupt and rude … not sensual.

A cute college sports romance that includes football and siblings in hockey, baseball, and volleyball…setting the stage for a whole series. The main character family was fun, the FMC love interest was good too. Tropes: fake dating, tutoring. Harder themes: stalking, sexual assault, mental health. Overall a good start to a series.
