I don’t think I was in the target audience for this book. I found it very slow, broken, and very dry. There was some beautiful prose within it, and I appreciate the author’s underlying message and intent, but it could not hold my attention.
I want to give five stars to the Gamini parts because he was my favorite. But overall the book was excellent, just not for me. It's very elegant and restrained.

this story was painful to read at times, and so fucking sad, this sounds like a bad review- it’s not but it feels wrong to say i enjoyed the book given that it broke my heart
