“Here's another thing to remember: hope keeps you alive. Even when you're dead, it's the only thing that keeps you alive.”

I've read and seen other stories with this type of plot line before, but none have made me shed a tear.

I'll be honest, I didn't really get into this book until around 100 pages. The story was a bit slow in the beginning, and some parts felt drawn out. I still ended up enjoying this book quite a bit though. I really appreciate how none of the characters are super perfect or insanely evil. There wasn't a single 'evil villain', and I appreciate that. I also ended up actually liking Lindsay by the end.
Spoiler And even though I saw it coming, Sam's death still made me really sad.

Wow...that was so much heavier than I anticipated.

I'm not going to summarize this book as it's already been done a million times before, but this was fantastic. When I was reading it, I was completely engaged. When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about when I could get back to it.

Sam is such a real and relatable character. While she initially comes off as shallow and nasty, you slowly begin to see that she (as well as everyone around her) is so much deeper and more complex than she first appears.

The ending was surprisingly beautiful and so, so sad. I was hoping for a different outcome, but I'm satisfied with the way it ended.

This book should really be required reading for teenagers. So often, teens (I myself was one of them), have zero concept of how their words and actions can affect other people, how the things they say and do so flippantly can cause lasting damage. I wanted to shake Juliet and scream at her that it gets better. High school is just a blip on the radar of our lives, and when you leave high school, you can become whoever you want without fear of judgment. Of course, that's easy to say when you're 40 years old and have the passage of time and experience to draw from, but when you're 17, everything seems so big and final. It can be hard to look past the here and now to 5 or even 2 years down the road.

Overall, I absolutely loved this book, and I'm annoyed at myself for waiting so long to read it. If you have a teenager (especially a daughter), I HIGHLY recommend you have them read this. It may not be life-changing, but it gives a realistic perspective on how other people are affected by the things we say and do without feeling like you're being preached at.

loved this book!! read it in a day, couldn’t put it down.

about a mean girl who dies, but get stuck repeating the same day over and over again. i absolutely hated the character in the beginning, but she redeems herself towards the end.

i would strongly recommend this book!

Idk. Also, character development je fenomenalan, ali malo, ono, kasno.

Most of the time it seemed like a really average book to me, but the ending made me tear up a little.

This book was addictive. It was Groundhog Day, but catered to young adults. Lauren Oliver is one of the strongest writers, and her works never disappoint.

I literally could not put this book down. It was amazing reading about this young soul learning about true meanings of every little thing that you do matters. I want everyone I know to read this book. It was captivating and beautifully written. Definitely going to check this author out for more books. :)

Love a quick YA book. A little cringe worthy at times but overall I enjoyed it.

Když teď tak přemýšlím, těch pět si to nezaslouží. Chtěla jsem od toho víc, no nestalo se, takže tak.
