Erstes Drittel war etwas schleppend, zweites Drittel war ok, aber das letzte Drittel war wirklich dynamisch und fesselnd

I am still crying. I loved this book so much. I did not see that plot twist coming, it made me speechless. I did have a feeling that Jospeh would not end up being so bad in the end. I feel like this book teaches you to not juge someone before you know the whole story. It also makes you reflect on life and to appricate it and the pepole who you surround yourself with. This is a book that i will defrintley recomend to everyone. It is some much more than a love story.
The majority of the book I was confuesed while reading, and in the begining i had a hard starting to read. But it got better after a whlie. Especially  after the plot twist, i did not see that coming. And i love that there a technically hits throughout the book that it might happen. And other things tha happens after the plot twist. Like the grefing books with other stuff, for me hinted about that something might happen to Siobhan. And i loved the two women he rally loved, how much there stories were connected. And I loved Mir story too, how it was some kind of connection there, but also just a complitly diffrent story to. And Aj shiped them togehter so much. I will say that this book left me with a sad but happy feeling. I loved it, and i feel happy, but also sad. I have this feeling that i will never get that love. It was sooooooo sad. <spolier>

Wow, wow, wow. I am so thankful I dove into this one headfirst. The cover and synopsis had me gearing up for what I thought would be a novel filled with hilarious hijinks in which the women all gang up together to take down the cheating man a la the Leslie Mann, Cameron Diaz, and Kate Upton 2014 film "The Other Woman." This was NOT that at ALL and thank goodness for it! What Beth O'Leary crafted was a well written, beautifully orchestrated novel filled with romance, suspense, heartbreak, and vulnerability. Each of the characters had my full heart at different times throughout the novel and I was impressed with how distinct each character's chapters/lives were. With about 100 pages left I had no idea how this would end or how O'Leary would manage to tie this up without someone having their heart absolutely broken, but somehow she did it! I was able to pick up one some of the foreshadowing and hints to twists and turns but was never fully sure of what would happen (my absolute favorite!). The No-Show is the epitome of a page turner that keeps you guessing, devouring each chapter until you're left feeling absolutely all of the feels. I believe this is Beth O'Leary's best work yet and one of my favorites of 2022 for sure!

Thank you so much to Berkley and NetGalley for an ARC of The No-Show in exchange for an honest review.

I have such mixed feelings about this book! The especially good: I love a story that captures when two people are perfectly decent together, but just not right for each other long term -- that's most relationships, right??

I figured out what I thought was going to happen pretty early on, and ended up being mostly right, though the way each perspective unfolded certainly kept me guessing. There were moments that were absolutely heart wrenching, moments of joy, moments of humor. All in all, just what I've come to expect from a Beth O'Leary novel!

This book was so unexpected, but shouldn't that actually be expected when it comes to Beth's writing? She constantly surprises me with emotional twists and turns and I'm 100% here for it.

I'm incredibly glad that I listened to the audiobook. It was beautifully narrated and completely immersed me in each woman's story. By the halfway point, I felt as though I was just sitting and listening to my friends talk about their romance woes, life struggles, and strange encounters. It was a level of familiarity that I haven't experienced many times.

This book tackles some really, really challenging topics. From infidelity to miscarriage, suicidal thoughts, panic attacks, and more. Please be aware of that before going into this. It's not your average "rom-com" and I wouldn't even put it in the comedy genre at all. It has a few sweet, giggle-worthy moments, but there's a heavier emphasis on the emotional aspect.

I was caught completely unaware when I reached the last quarter of the book. I absolutely did not see the twist coming and it blew me away. I was so caught up in the individual stories of each woman that I never saw how things were going to come to a close. If you're looking for a book with a great twist, this is one you'll want to pick up.

Honestly, I can't recommend this enough. While it might not be my favorite of all her books (that spot is forever reserved for The Flatshare), this was absolutely incredible!
