Dnf'd at 37%. This book struggled to hold my attention. I didn't care for it at all and the prose felt very weak to me. There were times where the dialogue felt so forced and inorganic and sometimes the story was downright pandering to the audience.

It was just too long winded... cba to finish over 50 chapters of this, chapter 15 also got me turned off on the book and never really got back into it after

This book is so bad. It's just so bad. I am angry with myself for pushing through this long. The writing is bad the world building is bad the characters are bad. Everything about it is bad. I feel bamboozled.

This has to be one of the most cozy and bingeworthy books I've read in a long time. Could not put it down until I finished! I need the next installments asap. If you want a lighthearted read with snarky and relatable characters. Badass females and loveable hilarious familiars. It's definitely worth a read.

I originally started reading this book a few months ago and about 40% through I stopped. I couldn’t get into the story or the characters. I read a few books and then I was having trouble sleeping one night and decided I can start reading this book again and it will help me doze off. Well…a few chapter in, the story started picking up. I’m glad I went back to the story and finished it. I will probably end up reading the other books in the series bc the story wasn’t completed by the end of the first book. If you can power through almost halfway through then I think it’s worth sticking out. The charm of the characters and story really start to shine in the second half.
