Really enjoyable magical trials book where the battle of good and evil gets complicated as the story goes on. Magical tattoos are cool; the world building and magic explanations didn’t feel complex, which was nice to read. Perhaps a bit basic love story, smirking bad boy & fmc with untold depths of power, but I explained it like fated mates. I liked the back and forth notes/stalking; that was cute.
