It's good but it's not great.
I honestly thought there was going to be more Medusa in this story and i feel like the last part is way too much about Perseus...
There were emotional parts but even those I expected to be more emotional.
Idk, maybe I was way too hyped

Beautiful writing and an impactful story.

Essentially a feminist retelling of the greek myth of Medusa.  This story gives you alot of different character prospectives throughout the book which because of the amount of characters led to a slow start but once it got going turned out to be an unputdownable book.

The story does a great job of showing victim blaming and its effects. It also does a great job of discussing content and how consent is not actually consent if the victim fears violence too oneself or others as a result of not consenting and how this can happen because of someone of authority or power using there status to coerce a victim into providing unwanted sexual activities.

The was also such a beautiful depiction of what it means to love people and the value of familial love which perhaps is the most prominent theme of the novel.

This story makes you think about those we see as monsters and weather they are actually monsters or victims there selves.  It also makes you question heros and causes you to consider the heros' real motives. It shows how we shouldn't judge people by their appearances because appearances can be deceptive and who people are on the inside and how they treat others is far more important in judging peoples character.
