I think it is interesting how the book addresses the reader, and I loved the Medusa parts of the book, it shines a different light on the mythology than the usual retellings. The parts beside Medusa felt gooey and it was hard for me the stay with the story, it is important background for the story but as the characters are unrelatable it is not as catching as the Medusa parts.

This made me so fuckin ragey for Medusa she deserved so much better. 
Athena is trash 
Men are trash . 
This wasn’t an original Medusa story like I thought or really her story which was frustrating just a recanting. 

I want a story from her POV now.

I set this book aside for a good 2 months before deciding to finish it, because I found the writing style very confusing. This being said, when I did continue to read it, it all turned out quite logical and well-written in the end. I just wish the beginning wasn't this difficult to get through, other than that I thought it was a good book with a lot of food for thought.

Retelling of the Medusa story but adjacent characters get plenty of focus as well. Very entertaining and interesting, and the author as narrator does an amazing job narrating.
