Anna Todd always makes me feel her characters so deeply. Obviously kael has some secrets (also do we pronounce this kale?) and Karina is hanging on by a thread. All v relatable.

After reading her after series (lol) I feel like this book is an intro to a very tumultuous relationship.

I had to read through the prologue again because I have a laundry list of ideas on who’s funeral they will be attending.

Also, really enjoyed the Spotify playlist.

Sad it’s a cliff hanger. I will just be over here, dying, until august.

hmmmmmmm... I know I giggled alot and LOVED kael and Karina banter, but still mix feelings esp with the endings. I realized how LOUD he mind was, louder than mine which usually louder than anyone ever. got weirded out but also thrilling when most part of her really resonated with me—I don't know what that says about me. her loving, her longing, her emotions were something like ... me??? so avoidant yet empathetic, sympathetic. thanks for the cliffhanger btw

Wow! That was so good! I can’t wait to read the next of the series. Because I need more! I love Anna’s writing style!

As soon as I saw this book, I knew I had to read it being a HUGE fan of Anna Todd's After series. Although romance isn't my typical go-to, Falling Stars still had me hooked. Karina is a 20 year old massage therapist who recently bought her own house to get away from her controlling military father. Her twin brother, Austin, has been messing up a lot lately and her life seems to revolve around picking up the pieces with him, and her father.

Then she meets Kael, also an Army boy. She told herself she'd never get involved with an army boy, especially because her father is one, but she can't help herself.

Lots of drama - I enjoyed!

Karina is an army brat and her entire life revolves around the army, but the one thing she promises herself is that she’ll never get involved with a soldier. That is until she meets Kael, a mysterious soldier who is about to be discharged. Kael is cold and closed off but Karina has made it her mission to chip away at him. This is a SLOW SLOW burn romance and the book consists of a lot of Karina’s stream of consciousness. I’m going to be real honest, I found Karina to be annoying and just reading about her mindless thoughts and everyday life that is extremely mundane... did not do it for me. Also Kael was just so “mysterious” and “closed off” and honestly it seemed like he was trying too hard. Ultimately this book was not for me but if you enjoy army romances definitely give this one a go!
