This book wants to be Priest by Sierra Simone so bad but can't make it happen. A really bad Wattpad story that somehow got as far as the shelves of Barnes and Noble.
The MMC is supposed to be a priest but acts like a horny college kid from the moment he enters the story. It's so unrealistic it takes you out of the moment. The two leads are basically fucking by the end of chapter one and it's so forced.
The worst part of the story? The insanely graphic child abuse, mentions of child trafficking, and implied sexual abuse between a child and parent. I dont understand why spicy book authors feel this need to add human trafficking to their stories as the main conflict. We read these stories for the romance and erotic fun that mainstream romance novels don't offer. Throwing in such a disturbing plot point into what is essentially meant to be literary porn is such a huge turn off and is an immediate DNF.

This book was a hot mess, I made it 52% of the way through, but had to stop. The blatant use of AI art and AI in general was horrible. There was clearly no editing. It didn’t flow and was never consistent. I also found it annoying that there were so many discrepancies and errors, and from other reviews, they get worse as the book goes on.
I was a little invested in the story, and wanted to at least rage finish the book, but I found myself rolling my eyes and being annoyed that I had to save myself the suffering and call it quits.
